Directory combo boxes, also known as drop down lists, are used all around Stereomerger for setting different source- and destination directories.

There are four ways of changing directory using the combo boxes:

  1. Entering text directly
  2. Choosing from the drop down list history
  3. Use the browser button, which opens up a file dialog
  4. Use the mouse over-functionality.

File dialog

Just press the little button with the folder-icon, and a file dialog opens up. Here you can choose the folder in a more traditional way.

Mouse over / hovering

You can also move the mouse over a directory in the path displayed in the combo box and after half a second delay, a list of all the directories at the same level will appear. The list is in fact a tree, which means that if you move the cursor to a directory in the list, and this directory have sub directories, a new list with the sub directories will appear.

To close this popup list, just click outside the list.

Here you can see a three-tier example:

Web

When in the viewer, you can enter web-pages into the directory combo. Read more on how to view web files.
